DocuSign – Platform, E-comm, Support

Founded in 2003, DocuSign entered a phase of dramatic growth in 2012 marked by substantial increases in revenue and workforce. I joined the company in early 2015 as part of an effort to shift the product organisation's focus to the user, develop a culture of close collaboration between product / engineering / design, drive long term Design strategy with an emphasis of consistency and scalability. In charge of team of UX Designers responsible for 3 distinct areas: Platform and Partners, E-commerce and Support, we introduced hi-level User Scenarios, Customer journey maps and reusable design patterns and components.

Cisco – Service Experience Transformation Initiative

With a fellow Experience Designer I lead a year long project aimed at overhauling Cisco support delivery process for its larger customers. We begun by modelling our customers business process and mapping them against Cisco internal processes to identify gaps and friction points. Subject Matter Experts joined ideation sessions to define improvements and new approaches that we later tested with Cisco customers. As a final step we worked with the change management team to implement the most successful improvement ideas. Some of the key deliverables of this project cannot be shared here but I will gladly discuss them in person.

Vobile – Audiovisual Content Tracking

Over a period of several months, I worked with the executive team of this company to rethink their application workflow and redesign it entirely. As I often do, we begun with a complete screenflow map to help us rationalize the organization of the app in a way consistent with it’s users’ mental models. Wireframes were then produced and tested before the creation of the final designs. Development was handed internally, the wireframes were implemented without design changes. 2 years later, my services were once again retained to design complementary functionalities.

Operative – Campaign Management Solution

Leading a team composed of a front-end engineer and a visual designer, I worked with our client to rethink the behavior of their application and redesign its interface. We also delivered a UI component library allowing them to develop new functionalities without our assistance. Our design is still used today (2017) on the company’s flagship product

Cisco – Access Security Management

Catalyst Resources retained my services to lead this complex Cisco project. Extensive user research allowed us to identify the large cast of characters responsible for managing the access and ensuring the security of large office facilities sometime spread over multiple continents. Understanding their role helped us create an information model that underpinned the design of the application.

Ventana – Instrument Reagent System

Catalyst Resources was hired to design the touchscreen interface of a next generation tissue staining system used in histology labs around the country. With a small team we spent time at John Hopkins and Stanford hospital to understand the challenges and document the workflow of lab technicians. After testing improved workflows using prototypes, we delivered a new User Interface that was implemented internally. Our interface was used by dozens of histology labs nationwide.

Pie Digital – Remote network troubleshooting

Our client worked on a promising solution to help telco companies troubleshoot and fix their client’s home network. In charge of a small team, I collaborated with the company executives to define the Interaction architecture of their application and test it with prospective clients.

Cisco – Defects & Enhancements Tracking System

Close to 20.000 engineers used this bug tracking system daily when Cisco asked us to redesign it. I conducted over a dozen interviews to document engineers’ workflow and requirements for the app. Simplified user profiles were created to keep track of the different roles and tasks before sketching the first wireframes. Several rounds of user validation allowed us to refine our prototypes before finalizing our designs.

BDP – Payroll Management System

BDP Payroll, today Viventium, had developed an extremely powerful and complex payroll management system. Like many products, the number of features had grown exponentially over time to meet the specific needs of BDP's largest customers. Without an appropriate focus on Design and User Experience, BDP Payroll took a significant time to learn, suffered from numerous UX inconsistencies and looked dated. At the head of 3 person team comprised of a front end engineer, an interaction designer and a business domain expert, we completely re-thought the application logical structure based on high-value scenarios, created a system of UI components that would scale
